Greens Report March 2009
February - a look back
1. Finished all the planned drainage and construction work ready for turfing except for the 2nd ditch which will be cleaned out in the summer.
2. The tees were verti-drained, sarrol rolled, seeded and devoted.
3. Fertilized greens and tees with lawn sand.
4. Put the first cuts on greens, tees and fairways.
5. Continued the heavy pruning of trees to promote light, air and give better access for machines.
6. Remove or cover some of the tree stumps, then dress and seed these areas.
The volunteer work has been tremendous this month again. Dave and Alan Pimlott have done all the signage, Alan Braithwaite has done all the beds and paved areas, Wally Foulkes has been helping on the course and Dave Lomax has been Verti-Draining and helping on the course.
